The banks were called banco which means credit negotiated. They have practiced banking for many years until the middle ages.The early medieval bankers also accepted deposits. They bankers also took over time money as an exchange or for sales.Taxation developed in the 13th century. The banking was very important in the medieval eras because that helped put together our banks today. The way that the banking has evolved is so amazing. if we didn't have this system today we wouldn't have any where to contain our money. the medieval eras are so important.
